The Children with Medical Needs mailing list (cmn.net) has been set up to provide a forum to share questions and answers on issues and concerns relating to the education of pupils with medical conditions.

For instance, you may like to share information and advice by email with colleagues on issues such as assessment approaches, hospital-school liaison, OFSTED inspections, curriculum resources, supporting pupils, and integrating the literacy hour etc. The list is intended to support all those involved in teaching and supporting young people in hospital, at home, in off-site units or within mainstream schools.

cmn.net is an open discussion group. This means that anyone with an interest in this area is welcome to participate in the discussions. All discussions will be publicly available and when you post a message, your email address will be visible to registered users.

All messages sent to cmn.net are stored in a publicly available archive. Archives are provided as an additional resource to users and enables non members to browse the messages. The archive also means that you do not have to save every message you receive from this discussion group.

Subscribing to cmn.net

Subscribe to cmn.net by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator.

These details will be collected via email and stored electronically in a database in accordance with the current data protection legislation and as set out in Becta's privacy and data protection statement.
