Lorna you may wish to try www.yourdictionary.com which can translate into
Hebrew for you,  http://babelfish.altavisa.com   and www.esflashcards.com
which will enable you to make picture resources and add the words.

Can anyone point me in the direction of good online resources for some
ESL students whose first language is Hebrew?

We have 4 new students (Kindergarten, Grade 3, Grade 5 and Grade7) and
they have no knowledge of the English writing system.
