Hi Bill see the Nottingham City Ethnic Minorities Service website - www.nottinghamschools.co.uk/ems click on "EMAG guidance documents" and look at "Guidance Document 8: Beginners to English" - this includes a shortened version of my booklet on using first languages (which was published by T-Rex - sadly no longer trading - but i don't think it was my booklets that made then fail). If you want my original document email me at gordon.ward2000 at ntlworld.com cheers Gordon ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Bolloten" <billboll1 at mac.com> To: "For practitioners involved in teaching pupils from ethnic and linguisticminorities" <eal-bilingual at lists.becta.org.uk> Sent: Tuesday, May 15, 2007 5:06 PM Subject: [eal-bilingual] Supporting home languages and bilingual strategies > Can any subscriber provide me with a few suggestions for key guidance > on this area? > > It can be any official guidance, websites or publications.
