Article: [eal-bilingual] Bulgarian, Hungarian and Polish Resources available

Please keep me posted. Sounds like a great way to motivate and
encourage self-study. The internet activities would be especially
welcome in school, but the mobile phone will be a good idea for
independent learning.

Subject: [eal-bilingual] Bulgarian, Hungarian and Polish Resources
available

A number of forum members have posted requests for Bulgarian, Hungarian
and
Polish resources. We have an EU funded project about (in principle)
using
mobile phones to learn English which includes partners from these
countries.
The resources have been developed during the past year and the website
is
due to go live in January. There are a series of language learning
activities from basic vocabulary learning to mobile phone dictionaries,
moblogging and hangman games. Most of these activities can also be
played
through the internet.

Note that this is not intended to be a full language learning course,
but an
introduction (re-introduction?) to additional language learning, and is
designed to show proof of concept especially for dyslexic learners
across
Europe. However, it is obviously also very good for non-dyslexics!

If anybody on this forum is interested, please contact me directly for
further details. Note that we are not only interested in providing
resources
but also in hearing suggestions for further activities.

Best wishes, Ian

International Dyslexia Consultant

PS For Kathleen Agnew - I am sure I could find somebody to help with
those
Bulgarian letters to parents. Please let me know off forum if you still
need
help.

Subject: [eal-bilingual] Bulgarian Resources

I have tried to find resources for EAL support in Bulgarian. So far I
have

not been successful.

I am looking for

letters to parents

bilingual word lists

bulgarian stories for Key Stage 2.

Any other information would be helpful too.

Thank you
