[eal-bilingual] Teaching literacy skills through sharing stories

Although I did not give any suggestions in my text I do have ideas which I am happy to discuss with Luan as we are in neighbouring authorities.  

  Apart from the traditional stories mentioned I used - Lima's Red Hot Chilli, George and the Dragon,(Chris Wormell) and Have you seen the crocodile(Colin West) , Handa's surprise.
  I recently found this website which has lots of activities.

Its good to have some of our ideas confirmed (we'd planned on using the Enormous Turnip and similar stories) but also grateful for the suggestions for resources we haven't seen (Read, Write Inc etc).
