CONSULTATION ON ASYLUM SEEKER CHILDREN - DEADLINE 25th APRIL Just in case you haven't seen this consultation - the Border and Immigration Agency is consulting on their new Code of Practice for Keeping Children Safe from Harm. This is of interest to all who work with asylum seeker children and families and gives an opportunity to move towards safer working practices. The documents are available on the BIA website www.bia.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk However, they are a bit difficult to find! If you put 'consultation' in Search, it will come up in the list. http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/aboutus/consultat ions/keepingchildrensafe/ is the exact page.
