http://www.teachers.ash.org.au/jeather/maths/dictionary.html Here is a link I use occasionally. The mathmatical knowledge covered by the dictionary is quite broad. Some of the definitions are basic, and other more complex for secondary level students. For more complex mathematical ideas, such as quadratic equations, the dictionary does give you other web sites to try. Most KS3 and KS4 pupils could use this in conjunction with teacher. The explanations are wordy as so much maths work tends to be, but there are clear visual examples to help. Some of the simpler mathmatical knowledge could be used to help pupils at KS2. I find it helps my mathematical knowledge too as I am a little rusty. Kathleen Agnew |
