Una I saw your question about skin tones crayons. I have a few you can
borrow if you wish. We bought quite a lot on GEST and presumably some
are still kicking around. They were Crayola I'm sure and I have always
been under the impression Kent County Supplies do them, also pencils for
older kids,.

Does anyone know of any UK stockist of crayons/paints for a wide range
of skin tones? Crayola in US do them but not Crayola here. It is for
Early Years settings who have very limited budgets so importing
resources is probably not an option.

Thanks
Una

GLS have "People of the world" pencils on p.362 of their 2006/07
catalogue which they claim are suitable for age 3 upwards and "ready mix
people colours" on p.335.

I found this:

"Crayola have started selling their multicultural crayons, markers and
paints in the U.K. They have been available in the U.S. since 1992 and
have just made their way to our shores."

" At present the multicultural crayons, markers and paints are only
available to education outlets so they might be a bit difficult to get
hold of. Try asking your child's teacher if they can order some for you
or contact Crayola for more information by emailing
consumers at vividimag.co.uk or call 01702 208170."

Hope this helps,

Sheilagh

You used to be able to buy packs of crayons of a range skin tones from
the Early Learning Centre.
