Article: [eal-bilingual] Training - assessing speaking and listening

Milton Keynes is developing assessment materials for NASSEA, or I would
prefer to say guidance as there can be no one-off assessment.
They will be on our website when they are completed.

Dear all
Does anyone know of a good training resource to help EAL and mainstream
staff accurately assess the speaking and listening skills of bilingual
learners and assign them an approp language stage/level (1-4 in
England)? I've checked out the teachers TV excerpt but the clarity of
the pupils' talk isn't great. It doesn't need to be video, audio would
suffice.

Thanks
Luan
