Article: [eal-bilingual] EAL/EMAG student trip

Best to go where the folk have experience of working with EAL pupils.
Can I recommend Jan Garren at Cefn yr Erw in the Neath Valley (www.cefn-
yr-erw.co.uk). Jan taught geography for many years in Hackney and
Shoreditch and is responsible for many collaborative learning
activities - some on which are online. Stuart

Subj: [eal-bilingual] EAL/EMAG student trip

Good morning,

I was wondering if any EAL/EMAG departments had ever used an external
school trip organiser to take a group of EAL students on a trip within
the UK - and if so if there are any particular organisations/trips that
they would recommend.

I would very much like to take some students away - I imagine
Stratford would be interesting, or York - but it may be something we
would have to outsource in terms of organisation.

Has anyone ever done anything like this?

Many thanks for any adviceToni Malone
