Article: [eal-bilingual] Excellence and Enjoyment: Learning and teaching forbilingual ch. in the primary

Anne and others - my primary EMA/EAL team have been piloting/modelling teaching of this material in schools with whole classes and also small groups. They have found it most effective if targeted in the right way but 2will need adaptation for different groups of pupils. The material is quite
challenging. It assumes a specialist knowledge of EAL and even though there are accompanying notes, would not in our view really be appropriate for TAs to deliver although we suspect in some schools this may be expected. If it is then they will need a lot of careful guidance and support from a
specialist teacher.

Hello,
Has anyone had any experience of using the above mentioned dfes guidance document? I'm interested to hear of its usefulness and who delivered it(teacher/TA)?
Thanks,
Anne.
