[eal-bilingual] Developing the consultancy role

Dear all
For many years eal teachers in Scotland have largely been involved in direct teaching of bilingual pupils in mainstream classrooms. Relatively little of their time has been spent in the consultancy role. However, this is now changing and I find I need to build the skills and confidence of my staff in this direction as well as supporting schools in a change of expectation. I'm aware that this transition is one that many eal services have undergone in England and I'm keen to learn from your experience of this. I'm also keen to engage with trainers/training to support my teachers with this.

Can any of you suggest training/trainers, or share successful work you have done in this area.
