Colleagues may be interested in a maths vocabulary booklet that I use
with
KS2/KS3 pupils. I produced it originally for a Y6 Thai pupil who could
not
read or write in Thai and was only at a very basic stage of learning
English. He
was very good at maths but had no way of recording explanations. The
booklet
is A4 and uses visuals and examples to illustrate maths vocabulary. If
you
are interested in obtaining a copy please e-mail me at
patricia.williamson at ed.lancscc.gov.uk
