Audio intro to NVDA, "A free and open-source screen reader for MS Windows". ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Aaron Leventhal <aaronleventhal at moonset.net> Date: Mar 1, 2007 4:19 AM Subject: [Fwd: Audio Demonstration of NVDA screen reader now available] To: dev-accessibility at lists.mozilla.org Hello everyone, There is now a demonstration of NonVisual Desktop Access (NVDA) as an audio file on NVDA's website: http://www.nvaccess.org/nvda/ The demonstration is quite informal, but does go for about half an hour and shows how NVDA works in some common situations. There is also some info at the beginning explaining NVDA's current status - what it supports, how it is being developed etc. This would be a good chance for anyone who hasn't yet tried out NVDA to at least have a listen to this file and see if NVDA might be useful for you. The demonstration does not try to be a complete set of information for NVDA, please read the rest of the website to find out more about NVDA. The file is in ogg vorbis, so you will need to make sure you have an audio player installed that can play this format. You will find links to both the ogg vorbis file, and an M3U playlist, that may allow you to stream this file, near the top of NVDA's main page, http://www.nvaccess.org/nvda/ The file is around 18 mb since it does go for half an hour or so.
