Article: [oats-sig] UIA accessibility framework to be available on Linux

Microsoft and Novell announce plans for Microsoft UIA to be available
on Linux, along with a bridging technology to existing the Linux Open
a11y standard (which is managed by the Open a11y, group www.a11y.org).

Some of the details are hazy, is it application or AT side or both,
will it require Mono (.NET for Linux) and has the requirement for a
managed solution be finally gone. How does an Open Source solution sit
with a pledge not to enforce patents?

This move does indicate that Microsoft are taking Linux accessibility seriously.
