Article: [oats-sig] waking up pc's?

Bizzarely, I'd just asked Barney from sensory software about this and he
said:

Re. Waking up on a switch - we say no when people ask for it, although it
can be done with a switch connected to the modem. You need to power the
switch independently, and set up the PC in device manager (or maybe the
bios) to wake on modem. Oh, and you'll need to figure out which connector
on the modem plug is the ring indicator (RI) line.
If you do try it, do let me know how you get on :)

Cheers.

Subject: Re: [oats-sig] waking up pc's?

On my first AAC (light talker) I pressed my head switch to turn on the
machine.

So, I have been looking at ways of waking up my computer from hibernation,
and I can only think one way; to wire a push switch into the one-off switch
of my tablet pc.

Any better ways?
