You asked for input I was trying to give it.
We're all busy so it helps if you give us as much as info as possible
to get us up to speed.

I scanned the bug and it seems to be about svg:use, which I know.
I'm afraid that I fail to see what that has to do with not being about
to interact with your 'form'.
If  I get more time I will dig deeper into the bug and your code in an
attempt to understand.
