This continuous speech recognition project looks interesting. -- Steve Lee -- Jambu - Alternative Access to Computers www.fullmeasure.co.uk ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Peter Grasch <grasch at simon-listens.org> Date: 19 Jan 2008 01:12 Subject: [g-a-devel] Fwd: simon speech recognition suite released the first alpha To: kde-accessibility at kde.org, gnome-accessibility-devel at gnome.org Hi! My name is Peter Grasch and I am the project administrator of simon. Simon is an attempt to bring the julius speech recognition engine (optimized for large vocabulary continuous speech recognition) and the Model-maintaining and -creation methods of the HTK-Toolkit to the end-user. The application is completely build with qt4 (no kde dependnecies). Simon is able to maintain the language model, collecting training samples, importing various dictionaries, adding new words, deleting words, running programs, typing text, learning grammatic structures by simple "reading" texts, and much more. Simon does not come with its own language model but (as it uses julius for the recognition) is perfectly suited for use with the voxforge gpl-language-model. Integration with assistive technologies like AT-SPI is planned for future releases. http://sourceforge.net/projects/speech2text/ Looking forward to your feedback, -- bedahr (Peter Grasch) Project administrator _______________________________________________ Gnome-accessibility-devel mailing list Gnome-accessibility-devel at gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-accessibility-devel |
