This looks *really* interesting. Steve ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Aaron Leventhal <aaronleventhal at moonset.net> Date: 3 Jul 2008 11:36 Subject: WebVisum extension for Firefox - review from Marco Zehe To: dev-accessibility at lists.mozilla.org This is a really interesting new Firefox extension, with tons of upside potential. But, it seems that it already can help visually impaired Firefox users! http://www.marcozehe.de/2008/07/03/review-of-the-webvisum-firefox-extension/ I personally think it's something for people to try -- the Firefox extension is being made open source (but not the server code)> I encourage people to look into it. I'd like to see trust & privacy issues and spambot questions addressed on the website. Something to consider would be allowing heuristics or users to tag up web pages with live region or other WAI-ARIA hints. It might be worth looking at how it can be used or integrated with AxsJAX. - Aaron _______________________________________________ dev-accessibility mailing list dev-accessibility at lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-accessibility -- Steve Lee -- Open Source Assistive Technology Software web: fullmeasure.co.uk blog: eduspaces.net/stevelee/weblog |
