Article: [oats-sig] Screencast and 'Free our Symbols'

Steve,

excellent point!

The screencast is in alpha too. I had forgotten to include a
demonstration that one can also click on every icon in the chat
application.

So to your query, ultimately to author:

web pages, Zanadu at the bottom of the homepage is my current
visualisation of a graphic interactive space that anyone should be
able to create, mostly feeds, be sure to try the chair, well go on try
them all...

chat, for now it gives a context. so if your dont know the symbol
'melon' click on it and you find it's a fruit, similarly for other
topics. This is a huge area, and many other respondents are concerned
that many users will want smaller symbol domains.

oh and finally many users of openclipart have asked for a graphic
means of searching.
So in this case you find the style you like, the topic, and then the
individual icon. (or search by text)
you learn what else is available in the set.
style is a killer u.s.p. for a search tool, words just dont get there.

the author maintains the set and can update.
to use the icon, you don't use the code merely link to the icon like
this:
<use xlink:href="http://www.openicon.org/icon-ark/mulberry/fruit.svgz#melon
" x="0" y="0" width="150" height="150" />
aka clone.

best wishes
