My colleague Elaine Hampson writes: I was in a French lesson in an SLD school yesterday. It was a pleasure to see youngsters who were so proud that they could communicate in French and be understood. A dynamic teacher, who was very active, used practical activities, including a computer and Clicker grids with French voices, pictures and sounds. The computer was only part of the lesson, of course. But it was very powerful! It could have been the same lesson in a mainstream school - they were accessing French and very real learning was taking place. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sent by Jeff Hughes, Chartered Educational Psychologist, Head of SEMERC Information Service, Granada Learning, Quay Street, Manchester M60 9EA Tel: 0161 827 2719 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ > SEMERC Special Needs Learning Network is an approved > provider of training in ICT for SEN for SENCOs, mainstream > teachers & teachers in specialist schools and inclusive units +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Go to www.semerc.com for information about special needs +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ********************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to which they are addressed.
