Dear All I am now out of hospital - and at home - I hope for good. Their criteria for letting me out was to be able to get upstairs - and I can - on my bottom - using my elbows - plus a grandsom to move my feet up each step - as lifting my feet is a skill I have yet to surmount! Going downstairs is no problem - hooray for gravity And I am now alone - looking after myself for an hour or two - as I am not allowed to go on the OAPs shopping trip to Tescos - one thing at a time is my husbands motto. I have some "nice dumbbells" to use to strengthen my arms - and lots of bits to do to strengthen my legs. Physiotherapy at home starts next week. And I hope to be able to move to a stool so I can cook! I can just see into the pan I use for ommelettes and pancakes. I can now also get up from my wheelchair and stand - only for a bit on my zimmer frame - and walk a few steps if I am lucky! And I have to remember to say "nose over your toes" as I do it! Thank you again for all those emails that are still coming in. Bit hard to key in stuff still - so please all of you share my thanks for them from this email - they are truly appreciated.
