Welcome Gillian! You'll find it a bit quiet at present but that will change once term starts again! Cheers Judith ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Judith Stansfield SEN ICT Consultant BDACC (Associate member) Farm Cottage, 24 East Road, Melsonby,Richmond DL10 5NF stass at onyxnet.co.uk 01325 718139 07990572365 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -----Original Message----- From: senco-forum-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk [mailto:senco-forum-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk] On Behalf Of Chris Holt Sent: 16 August 2006 14:50 To: senco-forum at lists.becta.org.uk Subject: [senco-forum] new member Hello to all members! I am introducing myself to the forum, having previously used archives, always intending to subscribe. At last I have some time to get started! I am SENCo (soon to become Inclusion Manager) at a large Primary school in Lancashire. Having recently returned from a holiday, I am just about summoning up the energy to commence pre-autumn term planning. I have now been SENCo for 12 months, which was an extremely difficult period in my career. The post has been extremely demanding and I suspect that it will not become any easier with my new role. Previous to being SENCo, I have taught in the school for 27 years covering every year group, most recently Foundation. I was Learning Support Teacher in the school for 12 years, working part-time whilst my family was young. I have found the archives most useful and hope to be able to share thoughts and ideas over the coming months. Best wishes. Gillian |
