Article: [senco-forum] Developing listening skillsinsecondarypupils-Eddie's CD

Thank you, Gill, for expressing what I feel, too. We all have different areas
of expertise and different ways of working with the children we teach. Often,
we have to begin work with a child before we know exactly what the root cause
of the problem is [this can take some time to establish; sometimes we can never
be entirely sure], but the child needs help now, so we do what we can to work on
the skills needed, in ways that our training and experience suggest may help.
Sometimes we find new ways, sometimes the tried and trusted are what is needed.

We really do need people with a range of experience, contributing in ways that
are open-minded and tolerant if the forum is to continue to be helpul and
informative.
