Yes, senco-forum members
and parents and teachers of dyslexics
were horrified at the time.

Of course, he did not compose the list himself.
Is Braille fonetic or would he actually know
how difficult traditional spelling is?
Oh, Wikipedia says it has some contractions.
We could do with some of those.

However, in spite of his short-comings,
I do admire David Blunkett for the way
he copes with his blindness.
And he did authorise the first of several DfES issues
of the Dyslexia Friendly Schools pack,
now out of print, but on BDA web.
