It can be argued that we are almost certainly living in a 'simulated reality' and that we may well be simulations within that simulated reality. If the 'technological singularity' has been reached then indeed mathematically it would be very unlikely that out of all the millions of simulated realities that were created that we would actually be living in the one 'true' reality at a time previous to technoligical singularity.
