Hi Eddie, I endorse what Mark Norwood said. There are many topics on senco-forum that don't interest me. I teach in KS1 and Primary, so I just delete the Secondary stuff and any other threads that are outside my area. I have read your comments with great interest and really appreciate the input you have made. I know you have received negative criticism and that saddens me. We all have our own areas of expertise and ways of expressing things. Many of us get very evangelical about the things near to our hearts, which is fine, but when it descends into including criticism of other people it makes me feel very uncomfortable. Without each of us having those areas of specialism that lead us to fight our corners with great vigour the world of education would be a great deal poorer. However there are many ways to skin a cat ... as the saying goes ... and many reasons why children experience difficulties in learning, we need to be open to all of them and listen with respect to those with a different slant to ours. So, please Eddie, remain connected to the forum and continue to give us your valuable views. Can we all try to limit our enthusiasm to expounding our own theories without the necessity of pulling other's views and ideas to pieces and making them feel they can no longer be part of the forum. It just feels wrong that a forum concerning SEN and Inclusion should not strive to accept all and learn from them.
