Hi Eddie, I'm very glad to see you posting on this forum again. I apolgise if my comments were in any way responsible for your unsubscribing. Your views and experience are of immense worth to this forum. We may not always agree on methodology but I know we have the same interests at heart...the children. As has been mentioned, passion sometimes gets in the way of good manners, which is unforgiveable and for which I am sorry. Literacy is a valid and vital topic which needs to be discussed and addressed, whenever and wherever. The UK should be aiming for as high a percentage of literacy as other countries and although with the best will in the world there are a small percentage of those for whom this may never be possible, we should still strive for as close as we can to at least provide access to literacy for 100% of children, using and adapting whatever methods we can to achieve that. I agree with others that this forum is a right and proper place to address those issues. Best wishes, Aly Chair Auditory Processing Disorder in the UK/APDUK www.lacewingmultimedia.com/APD.htm www.apduk.org |
