Article: [senco-forum] circle of friends

I'm currently running such a group with a Year 8 class. My E.P. set it up - did the intro - and we now meet every week for about 30 mins and discuss progress etc. It has been VERY successful. Designed around a lad - slightly Aspergers but not many friends and did things which the others don't like (calling names, swearing, taking their stuff etc). It is going really well. My E.P. is using the same format in classes in Year 2, 4 and 8. How many things can you do without much adjustment in all year groups.
I have the information - parental consent forms, introduction, how to run the groups etc - send me your snail mail address and I'll pop it in the post.
We ought to do more of this - the children have been fantastic - such insight and problem solving. Wow.
