Article: [senco-forum] Primary assessment of selective mute

We have a few selective mutes, one a girl in Year 8 and I was really
worried about her literacy. She read a book at home on a tape for me to
hear - all my worries (well a lot of them) evaporated!

Dear all

How can you assess a child KS1/2 who is a selective mute who will not
speak
in class or read aloud in school (although at home is able to speak
normally
and reads aloud well).

Richard
