Good question Rory -- we're falling back into the old failing of using unexplained jargon -- and lack of names is another one -- Brendan King -----Original Message----- From: a.bremner at oratory.co.uk To: Janrolnick at aol.com; Colin.Hardy at newham.gov.uk; senco-forum at lists.becta.org.uk Sent: Fri, 15 Dec 2006 7.54PM Subject: RE: [senco-forum] AST SENCO (re: message from Karen Allan) What is AST please? -----Original Message----- From: senco-forum-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk on behalf of Janrolnick at aol.com Sent: Fri 15/12/2006 17:07 To: Colin.Hardy at newham.gov.uk; senco-forum at lists.becta.org.uk Cc: Subject: Re: [senco-forum] AST SENCO (re: message from Karen Allan) I became an AST several years ago. I am a non-class based SENCO and I think my role in Barnet is fairly unique - I am involved in supporting and training new SENCOs (and sometimes those who are bot new but are struggling for whatever reason)> I also do some work with Ta training and go round to schools delivering a training session on how teachers and TAs can work successfully together.
