Amanda" Yes anyone anywhere, England and Wales, not sure about Scotland but I assume there too depending on their referral legislation, which I assume is doffereent to other areas (could our Scottish friends please confirm?) A GP cannot refuse to refer a patient on for spercialist services and if there are none in their borough and the only one available is in GOSH then that is where they have to go. I believe you can also get a referral from an audiologist/ENT department at your local hospital.
