Many of the difficulties you name can be explained by Irlen syndrome and  
visual processing deficits...my son has this and has all of the problems listed.  
As I asked before, has he seen a behavioural optometrist? Even more so now I  
think this intervention is indicated, as well as a dyspraxia  assessment.

What you describe in this young man, whatever you  call it, has a cause which 
needs to be addressed.
