Thanks for thT Aly - I'll pass on to mum Cheers Judith -----Original Message----- From: senco-forum-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk [mailto:senco-forum-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk] On Behalf Of Olanys at aol.com Sent: 04 July 2006 19:45 To: senco-forum at lists.becta.org.uk Subject: Re: [senco-forum] APD testing - GP referrals "The boy I know has now been referred by the gp to the local audiology dept next week - mum hopes they are more up to speed than last year, when she was told he has no hearing problems - have all audioogy depts been made aware of apd? Cheers Judith" I can't be sure about that but the British Society of Audiologists APD Steering Group is making progress in that area. Their official APD pamphlet can be downloaded here fpr the parents to take along to the meeting. That is evidence of the recognition of APD in the UK that no audiologist can refute. It also refers people needing information and support, which the parents will need too, to the APDUK website and newsletters. http://www.thebsa.org.uk/apd/Publications.htm Best wishes, Aly Chair Auditory Processing Disorder in the UK/APDUK www.lacewingmultimedia.com/APD.htm www.apduk.org |
