Article: [senco-forum] TA interview questions

I'm interviewing on Friday.

What I find extremely useful to enable the good ones to shine is firstly to
put them in a lesson with an experienced TA. This shows up those that get
involved and engage with the pupils (Yrs 7&8).

Secondly I give them a 30 minute task. They are given a history text book
(yr7) and told to differentiate the materials in a way that would make it
accessable to a child they know. I stress it doesn't need to be a
worksheet. They then have to discuss their materials with my SEN teacher.

questions:

Why do you want to work in this school?
What educational book/article have you recently read, what impact did it
have on your work?

Richard

Subject: [senco-forum] TA interview questions

Hi
I am going to be interviewing for secondary TA's next week, it has been
very
difficult to shortlist as we have had over a hundred applicants, we have
narrowed it down to 8 to interview who all look very good on paper.
Any ideas on questions to ask that will really tease out how good they will
be.
