Article: [senco-forum] APD testing - GP referrals

I myself was referred to a main County hospital based Audiology
department about two years ago as I strongly suspect I have APD.

However no testing was done that relates specifically to APD. All I
received were the usual 'single tone' standard hearing tests.
Furthermore it soon became clear the audiologist knew almost nothing
about APD and was certainly not equipped to test for this.

As far as I'm concerned the whole consultation was a complete waste of
my time (and the audiologist's) as my hearing is within normal
parameters by conventional non-ADP related standards, which I knew
already.
