Article: [senco-forum] ASTs and TLRs

Someone off-line just referred to having to do pesky AST assessments. As I'm
not a working teacher, I looked up this acronym on teacher net., and find it
means "Advanced Skills Teachers" pay. And having recently learnt (from the
forum) thet TLRs mean "Teaching and Learning Responsibility" payments -- I'm
left feeling glad to have retired. I was confused enough starting out as a
scale 2 assistant teacher with responsibility points, and onto deputy
headteacher. All I have to concern myself with now is an indexed linked, half actual
pay, pension. I really feel lucky. Brendan
