Subject: [senco-forum] Job title ideas

I have a colleague who is a Teaching Assistant in a large comprehensive
school. Her duties include teaching literacy to small groups of mainstream
SEN children; supporting children with aspergers; organising the exams for
yr 10 and 11's with SEN etc. Assessing literacy skills. The school
recognises her duties are totally different to that of the other T.A's in
the school.

Her job description and pay scale are currently being reviewed and updated
by the school. One stumbling block is changing her job title to reflect her
duties. To remain as a TA will limit the school as to her pay scale.
Teaching Assistant doesn't reflect her current duties. The school already
have a Senco and Assistant Senco(both teachers).

We recently thought SEN Learning Mentor may be suitable
Any other ideas for a job title?
Cheers
