Summer reading for parents and teachers - They are what you feed them by Dr Alex Richardson. ISBN 0-00-718225-2.  Am halfway through it and it is full of good stuff.  Except page 42 where it is stated that dyslexia can only be formally diagnosed after many years spent struggling with learning to read and write.

I disagree with that idea - for example, we identify and work with kids as early as year 1 so it is possible.  It just may not be what happens for the most part.  Martin Turner holds that assessment is possible from age 5 upwards.

It is a very readable book full of excellent info on food, learning and behaviour.
