Have you looked at the materials in the "dyslexia-Friendly Teaching" CDs? These are designed as six 2.5 hour sessions and one of them (the first I think) covers working memory in some detail. You can find out about these packs from http://www.partnership.mmu.ac.uk/dyspdfsess/Ackowledgements.pdf Best wishes, Mary -----Original Message----- From: senco-forum-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk [mailto:senco-forum-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk] On Behalf Of Phil Sent: 27 July 2006 14:38 To: senco-forum at lists.becta.org.uk Subject: [senco-forum] working memory I've been asked to do a presentation to teachers at school about working memory difficulties - how it affects the child in class, and what can be done to help. I'd like to give some fun activity to give them an idea of how it feels to have poor working memory. Wondered if anyone had done a similar talk or had any ideas they'd like to share.
