Article: [senco-forum] Suffolk reading Tests

We use Edinburgh Reading test. It comes with a disc which you load onto your system and then you download from the school database the list of pupils complete with date of birth and age on day of testing. When the tests are marked the scores are then entered and it automatically gives the standard score and reading age for each pupil. You can then sort it according to scores, alphabetically, age etc. (The only downside is that the Edinburgh takes a while to mark - especially for big year groups etc. Not sure how it compares with the Suffolk as I don't know it - perhaps someone could advise). The other thing - if you are secondary - no good for 6th form as most of them will exceed the ceiling for standard scores although it still gives you a reading age. Ally

	Hi

Does anyone know if there is a computer program where a pupils birthdate and
raw score from the above is entered and a standardised result and reading
	age is given.
Every year when we do the suffolk test it takes ages looking up the results.
I know Roberta Downton has a similar version for the NFER.
	I remain ever hopeful
