However if Joe is unlucky enough to be in a year group without a statemented child, he may well go with his needs unmet. Greater flexibility of provision might allow for more focussed intervention earlier. and avoid a lot of BESD associated with poor Literacy skills. However I think most children with difficulties complex enough to eventually require a statement are unlikely to be solved at School Action, but I have no evidence for this and I'd be interested to hear from others on the forum on this issue. (better make it a new thread as this one seems to be wandering !) and now I'm off back to the gardening Kate B |
