> Thanks Brendan, as ever your knowledge on the ins and outs of the legal situation is awesome! The trouble is that a) time spent doing this would be time taken from other school tasks or my family. b) taking on ones employers is a dodgy business, particularly if one may at sometime be applying for another job within the same LEA. This is not just about self preservation. I genuinely believe that i do a reasonable job and that (mostly) the kids would be better off with me in school fighting for them, than on the sidelines. c) Where is the cash actually going to come from? Our LEA is closing hospitals, cutting Leisure centre and library hours, reducing advice centres- all things that SEN children, now or in the future will benefit from. That said, Brendan has a way of making it sound achievable! so may be, after OFSTED have been (due since September!) I will sit down and work out the sums Kate B (now writing up IEPs, having spent much of the day gardening!) |
