Of course there are always a few people who will try to 'play the
system' for what they can get for free, even to the extent of
attempting to obtain a false diagnosis of ADHD. But these are a very
small minority and parents who do have children with severe ADHD
thoroughly deserve DLA and should never be tarred with the same brush
with these scroungers. After all I'm sure a similar proportion of
teachers and EPs would 'play the system' for what it's worth if they
had the chance.

...and BTW don't let an ADHD child's behaviour at school be a guide to
what they are like at home. Many manage to 'hold it together' during
the first half of the day when with their peers only to 'completely
fall apart' as soon as they get home.
