NO teachers get management allowances any more. Thanks to
the NASUWT and ATL they have been abolished. I am very
surprised no one else has pointed this out.

They have been replaced by Teaching and Learning
Responsibility Allowances (TLRs).

Under this new scheme there have been winners and losers
(some very big wins and some very big losses) but mainly
losers.

I have heard much anecdotal evidence that SENCos have tended
to be amongst the losers. Some SENCo roles have been
abolished altogther to be replaced with non-teachers.

I personally have been kind of a winner seeing a 13% rise in
my allowance, however every single other member of teaching
staff (outside of SMT) has received a 37% rise in their
allowance except one who got a 60% rise! So I don't really
feel like a winner :o(
