Subject: [senco-forum] Spelling intervention programme home-school
based for KS3

  Hi all,

We are discussing investing in a spelling package/programme that will be
effective with average and above or possibly low average ability (not
MLD)
pupils that can be carried out on a daily basis at home, with just a
weekly
test/check in school.

I know of the PAT programme, but am not keen on it, and spelling by
analogy
has been found, I think, to be the least effective method.

So does anyone know of a package/programme that would be suitable.
Ultimately, we imagine it being carried out by LSAs. It needs to be
effective and show good progress - many of the pupils we imagine taking
part
will have good parental support.

I look forward to hearing all your ideas and suggestions.

Thanks

Sharon
