[senco-forum] advice and jumping on the bandwaggon

Friday, at last!
Invaluable advice to new SENCo's - be aware, you WILL become the font of all knowledge !!!. You do need to write everything down, calls, messages, print off emails and hoard everything to do with students (you'll never know when you need it) and be a member of this forum - it's worth its weight in gold  :-)
Jumping on the bandwaggon - We have three male TA's, eleven female and all are a pleasure to work with.  But, a last year, when we were appointing, one of the candidates complained that she hadn't been given the job because I had been giving her 'the evil eye' during the interview!  She wanted to complain but as a member of the SMT had been interviewing with me, she felt we were 'ganging up' on her.  The fact that she was so aggressive during the interview, wasn't important (apparently).
