From: David Bowles <bowles.d at gmail.com> > This old chestnut regarding 'Apple Macs' versus 'PCs > running Windows' has been running for a very very long > time now, True. Similarly: nature vs nuture, reading schemes vs 'real' books, is there such a thing as dyslexia?, should state schools have uniform? etc. etc. are all old chestnuts. However I feel that just because they have been running for a long time doesn't mean we should stop discussing them. The reason is that there are constantly new developments. For example: The new version of Windows 'Vista' will once again introduce a whole raft of features currently only available on Macs. Will this bring PCs up to the same standarda as Macs? Well a new version of Mac OS X is also due. No-one knows for sure what it's new features will be. What we do know is that Macs will be able to run both OS X and Windows providing the best of both worlds. Many of the posts on SENCo forum concern 'old chestnuts'. I for one would not wish that to see that change. Best wishes Mark -- Mark Norwood www.avssc.org ---------------------------------------- Worried about the content of this email?
