Hello, Still trying to sort out matters with my son's school. Wonder if anyone can tell me the responsibilities of the LEA? I have asked them to intervene but they have (thus far) not done so to any effect. Threats of the ombudsman have resulted in some activity but I have little hope of this making a difference as the authority does not consider itself responsible. If the head teacher, the Chair of Governors and the LEA do not consider themselves responsible for the school, who is? Who is ultimately answerable? Following advice from other posters on this forum, I now have a number of options in terms of my own case (thank you!), but what about others? How does somebody without my resources defend their parental rights or even know those rights? June Swaffield (parent) ___________________________________________________________ All new Yahoo!
