Article: [senco-forum] colour blind student

I thought you might like to consider Chromagem Lenses.(I have no commercial interest in this product) Using a single coloured contact lense people who are colourblind can see colour! Sounds wild but was researched at Babbington Hospital in Cheshire and St James's in Leeds. My eldest daughter has slight colour blindness, ie inappropriate choices of colour in clothing was the second indication, she initially had had great difficulty learning the colours but we didn't think anything about it at the time. When she was tested by a Chromogen Trained optician in her late teens she was amazed by the variations in tones and shades which she had not seen before. She saw green as a single colour without variation! Ultimately she was not treated for the colourblindness but for her dyslexia with coloured glasses from the Chromagem range. They were very successful at increasing her reading speed and therefore her comprehension. Anything that makes things easier must be worth a try!
